About Adam
Adam Sud is a nutrition and addiction behavior researcher, lecturer, and advisor who translates complex science into clear, actionable frameworks audiences can use immediately. His work sits at the intersection of addiction recovery, mental health, metabolic health, evolutionary psychology, and environmental design. Whether speaking to executives, clinicians, recovery communities, or health-focused organizations, Adam helps audiences move beyond shame, confusion, and willpower-based thinking and toward systems that restore agency, resilience, and long-term wellbeing.
Adam Sud helps audiences understand why change seems nearly impossible, why it makes sense, and how to capture the life you deserve. Blending personal recovery, neuroscience, nutrition science, and behavior design, Adam delivers a powerful, practical framework for overcoming addiction, improving mental and metabolic health, and building a life driven by agency, purpose, and resilience.
In 2012, Adam Sud's life was coming apart. At nearly 350 pounds, caught in multiple addictions, managing several chronic diseases, and losing ground against his mental health, he survived an overdose alone in his apartment. It was the night that nearly ended everything, and the night that changed everything.
With his parents behind him and a radical commitment to nutrition and lifestyle change, Sud began a recovery that defied every expectation. In a single year he reversed his chronic conditions, came off every medication, and lost 175 pounds. What his doctors called impossible, he made inevitable.
Today, Sud is a leading voice in addiction recovery, behavior change, and nutritional science. He has spoken at Google, the Matthew Perry Foundation Summit fo Addiction, the Whole Foods Market Tribal Gathering, Aerial Recovery's Heal the Heroes, and the CEO International Make Big Happen Summit, delivering talks tha don't just inform an audience but change how it thinks about resilience and what recovery can look like.
He also spearheaded the first research study of its kind on the effects of nutrition on early addiction recovery outcomes, work that is reshaping how the field approaches treatment and support. His story and expertise have been featured in Men's Health, Forbes, and Psychology Today.
Sud doesn't just talk about transformation. He is the living proof of it. Through his own story and the evidence behind it, he challenges audiences to rethink the limits of human recovery and to trust their own capacity to change.
