About Adam

Adam Sud is a nutrition and addiction behavior researcher, international speaker, and the founder and CEO of Plant-Based for Positive Change, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing scientific understanding of how nutrition influences mental health and addiction recovery.

He lectures internationally and works with individuals and organizations to apply the principles of nutrition, behavioral science, and evolutionary psychology to improve mental health, foster resilience, and create lasting lifestyle transformation.

In 2020, Adam Sud’s nonprofit, Plant-Based for Positive Change, conducted The INFINITE Study: Pilot Research Exploring Plant-Based Nutrition in Treatment for Substance Use Disorders. The groundbreaking, first of its kind research study investigating the effects of nutrition on addiction recovery outcomes.

Adam also served as the lead insulin resistance and food addiction coach for Mastering Diabetes, a program focused on reversing insulin resistance and managing type 1, type 1.5, pre-diabetes, and type 2 diabetes through nutrition and other lifestyle factors. Prior to that, he worked as a clinical health coach for Whole Foods Market’s Global Wellness Center at the company’s headquarters, and as a group facilitator in mental and behavioral health treatment centers, where he pioneered the use of plant-based nutrition to strengthen recovery and reduce relapse risk.

As an international speaker, Adam has shared his expertise and personal story on some of the world’s most prominent stages—including Google, Make Big Happen Summit, Whole Foods Market Tribal Gathering, The Food Revolution Summit, Plant-Stock, and The Nexus Summit. His work and story have been featured in Forbes, Men’s Health, and Psychology Today, as well as in books, documentaries, and podcasts exploring the intersection of nutrition, behavior, and recovery.

Through his behavioral coaching programs, Adam integrates nutrition science, behavior change research, and evolutionary psychology to help individuals understand and reprogram the mechanisms driving compulsions, habits, and self-sabotage. His approach teaches people to design environments that make success easier and more sustainable, empowering them to move consistently toward the health and life they truly want.

Adam’s mission is to redefine how we view and utilize plant-based nutrition—not only as a tool for physical health, but as a foundation for emotional healing, recovery, and human thriving.
